Melt was originally a food truck that expanded to a few local restaurants. Melt offers American cuisine (especially classic comfort foods) and Burgers. If you love cheese, this is the place for you. Chef John Currence captures his childhood food memories by bringing New Orleans influence to breakfast.  There is patio seating for dogs, and Yelp’s reviewers mention that the restaurant’s staff are great with dogs and provide doggy water bowls.  

The Flying Biscuit Cafe

The Flying Biscuit Café is famous for serving all-day breakfast. However, don’t let the name fool you; they serve everything from southern cuisine to comfort breakfast food. This cute café originated in Georgia in 1993 and now has spread to Birmingham. For the pups, they have dog-friendly patio seating.

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream

If you’re craving dessert, this is the place to go with your dog! Bruster’s Real Ice Cream started in 1989 and has thrived since. Handmade cones and slow-kettle processing sets this ice cream a notch above the rest. They offer a free doggie sundae with dog bones and outside seating.
